‘Champion’ comes from the Latin word for gladiator. But there’s no need to reach for your sword – a champion is also someone who fights for a cause.
The team at youchamp put our words into action by coming together to donate to a worthy cause. St Aidan’s Primary School gave their young students the chance to become involved in a STEAM-athon.
We wanted to raise money to help support the STEAM-athon, so students would have the opportunity to take part in learning activities involving science, technology, engineering, art and maths. So what did we do?
We created a youchamp group and encouraged everyone to make a small donation – any amount they wanted. And together, we raised enough money to help make the event a success! The students had a blast. They got the chance to expand their knowledge and learn to solve tough problems.
Champions always do the right thing, even when no one’s watching! Giving back doesn’t have to involve big initiatives and a bottomless wallet. Even the smallest of contributions can make a huge difference to the lives of others.
Champions aren’t born. They’re made. Becoming one isn’t always easy, but youchamp will help make you a champion. Get your friends, colleagues and family together, and start using youchamp to give back and inspire change.
